It's true, this newsletter is a little longer than usual -- we just have so many great updates to share this month! There are lots of updates that we like to call "quick wins", meaning they're easy to understand and may look like a small change but can really level up your work in Lens. We hope you enjoy those, and be sure to read to the end to see Miles' upcoming webinar and where you can find us in person this fall!
We’re excited to announce that you can now create Share Links in Lens using Airbus imagery! This makes it easier than ever to share your impact with partners, stakeholders, and the world. From your Lens account, simply view the Airbus scene or scenes you’d like to share (feel free to mix and match with public data as well) and select “Share Property Map” from the Details pane. You can either snag a url or code for an embedded map, like we've done in the example below for one of our demonstration properties in California.
We're excited to share that the 2023 30m Planet Carbon Diligence Data is now live and ready for you to explore in Lens! As a friendly reminder, this dataset is available for you to add to your portfolios in the Lens Library, and then can be ordered for properties for just $0.04c per acre. This dataset can be used with Lookouts, too! Read more about the data and how it can be used in Lens in our support article.
You may have noticed that the portfolio overview page has been given a bit of a refresh! The updated interface makes it easier than ever to search for properties, add datasets from the Library and use filters on the Lookouts and High-Res columns.
We're excited to introduce a new note display option that enhances your reporting experience. With just one click, you can switch from the default view to full-page image mode. This feature gives you a closer look at imagery so you don't miss a thing. Try out the new full-page image layout today!
We're excited to announce a new cumulative year-over-year chart option in the Lens Analysis tool! When "Cumulative values" is checked, the Analysis tool will add each subsequent time step to the previous one. For example, when working with PRISM Precipitation data, you'll be able to see how precipitation accumulates of the course of a water year.
Whether monitoring town or county-owned land, conducting tax assessments, or coordinating with law enforcement, collecting the information needed for monitoring and reporting on properties can be time and resource intensive. Click here to join Miles on August 28th to learn more about how Lens can help you with your work in a time- and cost-effective way!
Know an organization that might be interested in signing up for Lens? Refer them to us, and if they sign up by the end of this year you'll each receive $250 in account credit! Account credit never expires and is put towards your next imagery order or contract renewal, whichever arrives first.
The Details:
Like what you're reading and want to be more involved? Know someone else who might be? We're hiring for several positions and also have an Open Call for applications if you have something in mind.
Some members of the Lens team are gearing up for the fall conference season. Wondering where on Earth we'll be?
Let us know if you'll be at any of these conferences, too! We'd love to say hi.
Did you know there are quite a few keyboard shortcuts you can use in Lens? Under the Help dropdown, click "Keyboard Shortcuts" to open up the list below. We especially love being able to increase or decrease brightness and contrast when reviewing imagery!
