Is it just us, or is summer really flying by? Our team's been hard at work releasing new updates to Lens Lookout, adding a dataset to the Lens Library, and more releases that we can't wait to tell you all about!
We recently released an update to Lookout so it can now support category datasets like Landcover and Global Forest Loss! The setup of a custom Lookout policy looks a little bit different for a category dataset -- you'll see in the screenshot below that you can choose specific categories you're interested in or select "Any" from the category list to be notified of any changes that happen. The 2023 Impact Observatory Landcover data will be available soon, so now's a great time to set up a custom policy for that dataset.
Lens Lookout is available with Standard and Enterprise plans.
Now's the perfect time to invite more of your team to use Lens! We recently added a checklist to help new users get up and running with remote monitoring in no time. If you've joined Lens in the past month, we've made the checklist available for you automatically. We'd be more than happy to enable it for anyone else -- if you'd find it helpful just let us know by emailing us at lens@upstream.tech!
We’re excited to announce the addition of EPA Superfund Sites to the Lens Library. Add this overlay of contaminated areas to see how your monitoring sites align with them. Hover over each site for its name and a brief description. Stay informed and enhance your monitoring efforts with this crucial dataset from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Abby Smith, Head of Product for Lens, recently hosted a 30-minute webinar to take a deep dive into Lookouts. She demonstrated how to set up custom Lookout policies and walked through multiple use cases for how to leverage this feature. We encourage you to watch the recording and try out setting up your own Lookouts!
Like what you're reading and want to be more involved? Know someone else who might be? We're hiring for several positions and also have an Open Call for applications if you have something in mind.
With the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics just a few days away, we thought we'd take a look at Paris to check out the festivities from afar. In this image captured by Airbus, we can see the Eiffel Tower and the arena that will host beach volleyball and blind football events!
