We’re continuing the momentum with ongoing model improvements, rapid international expansion, industry conference appearances, and much more.
🔼 Exciting improvements are coming soon to the HydroForecast Seasonal model! We’re increasing the temporal resolution of forecasts from 10-day to daily, making forecasts more precise. Plus, by incorporating new data sources like Canadian gauge data and improving how we handle weather inputs will improve resilience to missing weather forecasts, we’re reducing interruptions from missing forecasts so you get more reliable insights when you need them.
🧪 Working in a international and scientific field comes with complication when it comes to which unit to use. While Americans are accustomed to cubic feet per second and Fahrenheit , users outside the US work in cubic meters per second and Celsius. As HydroForecast expands to new countries, we’ve received requests to make units available so users can visualize and analyze data in a format that is familiar to them. Keep a lookout for new units, such as megaliters per day, to be available in our dashboard soon. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to see an additional unit!
Upstream and Amperon recently discussed how advanced forecasts like HydroForecast can be applied to improving renewable energy generation forecasts. If you couldn't join us live, be sure to check out the recording to learn more!
📖 You can now view the HydroForecast dashboard in multiple languages! Choose from English, Portuguese, French, or Japanese. We’re committed to making the user experience for our diverse and international customer base as seamless as possible.
