We are thrilled to announce the addition of a collection of invaluable datasets to the Lens Library, further enhancing our commitment to supporting conservation organizations worldwide in their mission to protect biodiversity. These datasets provide critical insights and tools for visualizing, monitoring, and prioritizing conservation efforts on a global scale.

The following datasets are now available in the Lens Library. For more information or to start using these datasets, visit the Lens Library, sign up for Lens today, or connect with us at lens@upstream.tech.

Biodiversity Hotspots from the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund

Explore the planet’s most biologically rich yet threatened areas. This dataset helps organizations target conservation efforts in high-priority regions to maximize biodiversity protection.

Intact Forest Landscapes from Global Forest Watch

Access detailed information on unfragmented forest areas for 2000, 2013, 2016, and 2020. These vital areas harbor native biodiversity and essential habitats, making this dataset crucial for understanding and preserving forest ecosystems.

MapBiomas Brazil

Annual land use and land cover maps from 2000-2022 offer insights into Brazil's evolving landscapes, a critical region for biodiversity and carbon projects. This dataset supports conservation and climate action assessments.

MapBiomas Chaco

Annual land cover maps of the Gran Chaco Americano (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Paraguay) over the past two decades, helping monitor landscape changes and support conservation assessments.

Terrestrial Ecoregions of the World from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)

Explore 867 unique ecoregions with detailed global data. This overlay adds valuable context to biodiversity assessments, supporting dynamic baselining and conservation planning.

Natural Lands Classification from the World Resources Institute

A comprehensive global map of natural lands as of 2020, aiding organizations in setting “no conversion” targets for ecosystems. This dataset helps companies make informed decisions about their operations and supply chains.

Tropical Moist Forest Land Cover from the European Commission Joint Research Council

Track changes in tropical moist forests over two decades, providing a crucial dataset for monitoring the health of these ecosystems.

Global Canopy Height from Meta and World Resources Institute

Visualize high-resolution canopy height anywhere in the world, using an AI model trained on aerial imagery (more information here). This dataset provides a global baseline of tree heights, supporting forest inventory, carbon market transparency, and conservation efforts.

These datasets are now available in the Lens Library, providing organizations with the data needed to make informed decisions and drive impactful conservation initiatives. Together, we can work toward a more sustainable, biodiverse future.

For more information or to start using these datasets, visit the Lens Library or sign up for Lens today.
