We’re excited to introduce a brand new analysis tool in Lens that makes it easy to clip and save specific areas within your property where data falls within a chosen range. As with many of our updates, this feature was inspired by customer feedback, and we’re thrilled to provide a new way to transform raster data into vectors—allowing users to delineate and save property sub-areas effortlessly.
From the property map in Lens, open the Analysis tool. If you’ve used the Area in Range option before, you’ll find a new enhancement: the ability to view and clip areas that meet your selected criteria directly on the map. Once clipped, you can save these areas for future reference as a note, export them for deeper analysis, or run another analysis in this selected area.
This is one of those features that’s best described visually—so check out the video below for a quick walkthrough.
Whether you’re monitoring forest recovery, tracking storm damage, or pinpointing high-risk areas for follow-up, this new functionality enables you to define and save the areas that matter most. By applying filters to your data, you can quickly generate and preserve precise boundaries—helping you document changes, streamline reporting, and take targeted action.
For example, you can easily isolate and save low-vegetation zones after a storm, or flag areas with high burn index values for post-fire recovery planning. By making it easy to clip and save these insights, Lens helps you move from analysis to action.
With this enhancement, Lens makes it easier than ever to focus on the areas that matter most to you. To start using the new clip and save functionality, log into Lens today—or reach out to us at lens@upstream.tech with any questions.
