We’re very excited to share that we’ve been awarded the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant to support research and development on HydroForecast Long-term.

On July 10th, 2023, the DOE announced its awardees for its grant to support small business that pursue scientific, clean energy, and climate research and development projects. This grant is a part of the Biden-Harris administration's effort to achieve a carbon-free grid by 2035 and net-zero emissions by 2050.

As climate change intensifies and creates more uncertainty in future water availability, decision makers in energy and water lack accurate, easy to access information. HydroForecast Long-term uses industry leading machine learning technology to create actionable water supply information out to the year 2100. The outcomes will help inform a secure water supply and clean energy grid by improving the data and tools teams use to make investment, mitigation, and adaptation decisions decades into the future.
