Let's look back at some of HydroForecast's highlights from the past year!
Happy January!
We hope you are enjoying time spent with loved ones this holiday season. As we near the end of 2022, we’ve been doing some reflecting on how HydroForecast has grown over the course of the year. We took some time to think back on and summarize what we’ve accomplished in 2022, and we wanted to share it with all of you.
Here are some quick stats on our 2022:
1. 17 new organizations are using HydroForecast to inform their decision making
2. HydroForecast is now live on 4 continents
3. HydroForecast is being used to operate 4,559 additional MW of energy compared to the year prior, for a total of 8,774 MW (That's enough energy to power 8.8 million homes)
4. 100% customer renewal rate
We are always working on research and development to improve our models. One item that we've been working on this year and are excited about is our new distributed model.
The distributed model efficiently routes flows by first determining upstream dependencies. Forecasts are produced for the upstream most sub-basins (represented by the lightest colors) in parallel and added to the next layer of directly downstream sub-basins. This allows the model to compute total flows at every point in the least amount of time while minimizing computational demand.
We're continuously thinking about enhancements and new features to add to the HydroForecast dashboard. Below are features that we released this year:

We’re very excited about the progress that we have made this year, and we want to thank you all for following along, working with us, and supporting us as we grow and expand. We look forward to seeing what’s in store for HydroForecast in 2023. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team by booking a demo or contacting us at team@hydroforecast.com if you have any questions.
We hope you have a wonderful Happy New Year!
