2023 was a BIG snow year in the American West. This example shows the Trinity River Basin in California, and we can clearly see the snowpack in the mountains, even at lower elevations. Using Lens, we can understand trends across landscapes on a large scale. We can use the Analyze Area tool to answer the questions: how often does snow persist at lower elevations, and how does it compare to previous years?
