Upstream Tech’s Conference Marathon: Connecting, Learning, and Making an Impact
At Upstream Tech, we’ve built software that empowers hundreds of customers around the world to take meaningful action on climate change via our products Lens and HydroForecast. And nothing drives that reality home for us quite like spending time in-person with our clients and partners. Last week, we closed out September with our busiest event schedule yet, with team members attending four conferences at once!

New York City Climate Week
We connected with our partners in the carbon space who are scaling up high-quality, nature-based investments. Planet launched their new 3-meter Forest Carbon Monitoring product that will soon be available in Lens. The event was a powerful reminder of the collaborative efforts driving progress on climate issues.
Land Trust Alliance Rally
It was wonderful to connect with so many of our Lens customers and meet new folks exploring remote monitoring for the first time. We heard incredible stories of impact, including one customer saving an estimated $24,000 last year and another reducing their carbon emissions by half through Lens. These results highlight the value Lens is delivering while helping organizations conserve and manage more than 70 million acres globally.
NSGIC Annual Conference
We were inspired by the best and brightest geospatial minds from over 20 state government agencies, coming together to discuss best practices, challenges, and advancements in geospatial technology.
Canada Water Power Week
At Canada Water Power Week, we delved into responsible hydropower initiatives for Canada's renewable future. A big thanks to Bruno Bennedetti from Brookfield Renewable for co-hosting an engaging discussion on how our AI-powered hydrological forecasting product, HydroForecast, is driving more efficient and informed hydropower operations.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in these events and look forward to continuing our mission to build and expand the tools needed to tackle climate challenges today. Whether through accurate river flow forecasting or innovative remote monitoring, Upstream Tech remains dedicated to supporting those taking action to protect our environment.
