We’re excited to announce that Upstream Tech has joined the Greentown Labs community. Greentown Labs is the largest climate tech incubator in the U.S., with locations in Somerville, MA, and Houston, TX.
This move brings us back to our roots: Upstream Tech was actually briefly a member of the Greentown community in our earliest days in 2017, before doubling down on building a fully remote team. Though our team will remain remote-first, we’re excited to have a small physical footprint at the Greentown Labs space in Somerville, MA and unfettered access to the Bevi machine (if you know, you know).
Greentown Labs’ mission of solving the climate crisis through entrepreneurship and collaboration aligns with our ideals as a team and as individuals. Our mission is to develop software products that expand access to environmental data and accelerate the pace, scale, and impact of environmental work around the globe.
During our annual company retreat held in Somerville last week, our team spent some time at Greentown, reminiscing about our early days in the space and introducing new team members to the community.
Becoming a member of Greentown feels in many ways like a homecoming. We’re inspired by how Greentown has grown - both in terms of its physical space and its influence and prominence in the climate tech space.
